1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains what information RosterRogue (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects through the public website at rosterrogue.com (the “Site”), why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to the early-access waitlist and optional suggestion form.
This policy covers the public website and waitlist only. The RosterRogue app at app.rosterrogue.com is a separate service; accounts and use of the app are covered by the terms and privacy information presented when accounts are offered.
2. Information we collect
Information you choose to give us
When you join the waitlist we collect:
- Email address (required).
- First name (optional).
- What you’re most excited about — a choice from a short list (optional).
- Your suggestion or idea — free text (optional). Please don’t include sensitive personal information or confidential ideas.
We also record that you agreed to receive launch emails, together with the date and time and the version of the consent wording shown to you.
Technical information
Our website hosting and database providers automatically process ordinary technical data needed to deliver and protect their services — for example your IP address, browser type, and the time and address of each request — and may keep it in their operational logs. We do not add this information to your waitlist record.
Site analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how the Site is used and how well it performs. It may provide metrics such as page views, visits, and page-performance measurements (including Core Web Vitals). Cloudflare states that Web Analytics does not collect or use visitors’ personal data, and that it does not use cookies or local storage for these usage metrics. Cloudflare already acts as our website hosting and network provider (see “Sharing and service providers” below).
What we do not collect on the Site
- No accounts, passwords, or payment information.
- No advertising trackers and no unrelated third-party analytics platforms. The Site does not load third-party fonts or embedded media. Cloudflare Web Analytics is described above.
3. How we use information
- To add you to the waitlist and contact you about the RosterRogue beta and launch.
- To understand what features people want and to improve the product. Suggestions may be reviewed and used as described in our Terms of Use.
- To protect the Site from spam, abuse, and security threats.
- To meet legal obligations and to respond to requests you make.
4. Email
By joining the waitlist you agree to receive RosterRogue beta and product-launch emails. You can unsubscribe at any time — each email will include an unsubscribe option, and you can also ask us directly at the contact address below. We will not use your waitlist email for unrelated third-party marketing.
If we use an email service provider to send these messages, that provider will process your email address on our behalf. We will identify any such provider in this policy when we select one.
5. Sharing and service providers
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising purposes.
We use service providers who process information on our behalf:
- Supabase — stores waitlist submissions in our database.
- Cloudflare — hosts and delivers the Site, provides Web Analytics for it, and processes waitlist submissions as they pass through its network and serverless platform. Cloudflare may process technical data such as IP addresses and request details for security, rate limiting, and delivery, and may keep standard request logs.
We may also disclose information if required by law or legal process, to protect the rights, safety, or security of others or the Site, or in connection with a merger, financing, or sale of the business (in which case we will require the recipient to honor this policy or notify you of changes).
6. Cookies and similar technologies
The Site does not currently set cookies and does not store information in your browser’s local storage. Cloudflare states that Web Analytics does not use cookies or local storage for its usage metrics. Your browser or our hosting provider may use technical mechanisms strictly needed to deliver web pages. If this changes, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
7. Retention and deletion
We keep waitlist information until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or until we no longer need it for beta and launch communications and product planning, whichever comes first. If you unsubscribe we may keep a minimal record (such as your email address) so we honor your choice and do not email you again. Provider logs are kept according to those providers’ own schedules.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access to stored waitlist data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from emails at any time. You may also contact us to ask what waitlist information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. We may need to verify that you control the email address before acting on a request.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under local law (for example rights to access, correct, delete, or object to processing). We will respond to valid requests within the time required by applicable law. We do not make claims here about compliance with any specific legal framework.
10. Children
The Site and waitlist are intended for people 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Where data is stored
Our database, where waitlist information is stored, is hosted in the United States. Cloudflare operates a global network, so your request to the Site — including a waitlist submission — may be handled at Cloudflare network locations outside the United States before it reaches our database. If you access the Site from another country, your information will be transferred to and stored in the United States.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product and the Site change. We will update the effective date above, and if a change is material we will make reasonable efforts to notify waitlist members by email.
